Not all the community is designed to be compatible with each other. They will be building their own community. We may walk in our path as long as we don't murder each other. I hope you have half the gumption to do something similar, but I doubt it with the way you revel in the fact that you broke ToS and demand that people slit their own throats for the community just because it MIGHT inconvenience some people. I used the shame I felt for doing scummy things as a way to improve the community. The effort was seen, appreciated, picked up and we got 2k3 legal. I went around and pestered communities and got laughed at for doing the right thing, but fuck me, it got done. And I felt so bad about it that I was the one who pushed for 2k/3 to be released in English. "But we all started pirating the software" wah wah. If people make something and don't want you doing something with it, don't do that thing with it! It's not rocket science!

The Visustella team point of view is that they are afraid to have their code stolen. There were a couple of good discussions happening on the RPG Maker forums about how this was ultimately going to hurt the community: people can’t see the code to modify it to their taste, plugin creators cannot build upon or reference anything from the core plugins, no one can fix any kind of compatibility issues, etc. I was wondering what’s the general feeling from good people of Reddit, about the new RMMZ plugins, from Visustella (sponsored by Yanfly), that are obfuscated and encrypted?
